Step 3: Heartburn Free!

  • Stop PPIs and take them only if heartburn starts to get worse.
  • Continue taking slippery elm.
  • Make sure that you don't eat 3 hours before going to sleep.
  • Still no acidic food.
  • Still no heavy or heartburn causing food in your diet.
  • Try to find exercise which works for you. It could be tennis, badminton, swimming, jogging and even just walking. Make sure that you do it on regular basis. Any good exercise will boost tonus of your body and digestion system thus helping your body deal with heartburn and fight it. Note that some exercise may cause heartburn so be careful and watch how your body reacts to it.
